About Our Club
Sahara Sands was formed in the mid 1970’s by a group of Arabian horse enthusiasts. Since then, our main focus is to put on the best Arabian and Half-Arabian horse show in the area…a show that is friendly and fun for exhibitors and spectators alike.
Our show, the Sahara Sands Spring Classic, is held on the first full weekend in May at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in St. Paul, MN. The show is held in the Lee and Rose Werner Coliseum, so riders and spectators don’t need to be concerned about the unpredictable Minnesota spring weather.

Meet the team
Our best asset is our members! Each one of our members brings their own talents to the group, and we wouldn’t have it any other way! One of the main requirements of being a member of Sahara Sands, is that each member works the show. With our diverse group bringing so many different abilities to the table, it’s no wonder we put on a spectacular show!

Charities
Sahara Sands donates a large portion of our profits back to charity. Members bring different charities that are near and dear to their hearts and the membership votes on which charities we will donate to. Below are the charities we donated to in 2018.
